The Food and Agriculture Organisation of the United Nations (FAO) invites children and teens all over the world, from ages 5 to 19, to creatively design posters on Zero Hunger. The contestants can draw inspiration from the World Food Day Activity Book which explains Zero Hunger and suggests ways to achieve this global goal.
The poster competition is divided into the following four categories: 5 to 8, 9 to 12, 13 to 15, and 16 to 19. Only one entry should be submitted per person. Multiple entries from one person will result in disqualification.
The posters may be drawn, painted or sketched using pens, pencils, crayons, charcoal, oil, acrylic or watercolour paint. Digitally created artworks are also permitted. The posters may include texts of no more than 25 words or 100 characters. The languages permitted are English, French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Russian, Italian and Japanese.
To submit entries, please fill this form on the FAO website before 9 November 2018.
Three winners in each age category will be selected by the FAO jury and announced on the World Food Day website in December.
The winners will receive surprise gift bags and certificates of recognition. They will also feature in an exhibition at FAO headquarters in Rome.
