Date: 6 to 7 June 2023.

The Safeguarding Food Sovereignty, Farmers’ Rights and Farmer Managed Seed Systems Workshop was organised and co-hosted by the Association for Plant Breeding for the Benefit of Society (APBREBES), Community Technology Development Organisation (CTDO) Zimbabwe, and African Centre for Biodiversity (ACB), to look at the impact of seed laws and plant breeders’ rights (PBR) in East and Southern Africa. The aim was to exchange knowledge, information and ideas, and to identify possibilities for further actions and a way forward to develop seed policies to promote diversity and seed sovereignty.
