The 2024 theme of the Bourlaug Dialogue “Seeds of Opportunity: Bridging Generations and Cultivating Diplomacy” draws from Dr. Norman Borlaug’s vision to break barriers and transcend boundaries for global food security. It highlights the important role of integrating past wisdom, current innovations and the pressing needs of tomorrow, by leveraging agricultural technology to address contemporary challenges. It also underscores the importance of intergenerational collaboration and diplomatic engagement in achieving sustainable solutions. It seeks to unite diverse stakeholders to strive to nurture innovation, collaboration and opportunity.
The Borlaug International Dialogue is complemented by side events, briefings and seminars organised by non governmental organisations (NGOs), agribusinesses, advocacy groups, public stakeholders and other institutions. The resulting full week of events attracts more than 1,200 attendees and participants each year representing more than 65 countries. See more here.
